Follow Luciana on a tour to explore Campo de Ourique, a neighborhood that still remains a secret in Lisbon.
Our first stop is at a local “petisqueira” (small traditional restaurant) where you will be able to taste local dishes like the “morcela” (Portuguese black pudding), chorizo, “pica-pau” (small pieces of beef fried in olive oil with garlic sauce), and “caracóis” (escargots in coriander sauce).
Walking along Campo de Ourique’s unique streets and buildings, we’ll find traditional markets, now renewed, where it is mandatory to taste a selection of Portuguese wines and to have a bite of the fruit of the season. Can’t forget the delicious local pastries, so there’s a stop to taste the best “pastel de nata” in town (Portuguese custard tart) and great coffee.
On Saturdays we taste the best chocolate cake in the world and on Sundays we visit a local association with the best “salgadinhos” of Lisbon (salty snacks) with a delicious cool beer.
Basílica da Estrela (entrance) at 1:30 pm
Eating and discovering new places to share with travelers are two, out of my five, favorite things
This experience's name is perfect. You will get the real thing: only local families walking in the streets. The food is delicious (absolutely amazing) and the wine is incredible. Luciana gave us interesting insights on "vinho verde" (green wine). Book it, you won't regret it.
Luciana is a great host, she knows the best places to eat and knows just what to order. We only saw Portuguese families and local people walking their dogs. It looks like such an amazing neighborhood, I felt like moving there. Thanks Luciana
Great experience: awesome guide, excellent food and wine. Can't recommend it enough.
Took the chance of getting out of the touristic area and it was the best thing I ever did. This was one of the favorite things I did in Lisbon because I got to experience the real "Lisbon" - we went to where all the locals are, ate what they eat and got to meet Luciana, who's a very friendly host. Don't think twice, just book the tour.
Awesome experience! Booked this food tour with Luciana, for my family and myself, and it was a great afternoon. Lots of cool places with great food, excellent wine and a very nice walk.
I recommend this tour if you like to eat and drink but also if you're looking to do different things from other tourists. Luciana took us to the real Portuguese restaurants, every place she took us there were only locals. I highly recommend Luciana and the experience.
I loved this tour! It's truly a must do in Lisbon!
This was one of the best experiences I had in Lisbon. Luciana is a such a smiley girl and she's a real foodie, we had from chorizo, cheese, cod, chicken, wines, sweets, I don't remember eating so much in my life. Really great experience!
I recommend this tour if you're looking for the real Portuguese experience. Luciana is a friendly and fun guide to be with and she takes you to the best local places in Lisbon. We ate at a restaurant where all the customers were Portuguese so it felt like the real experience. On top of that, Portuguese food is amazing and quite delicious, it's always worth to do enjoy a walk with food and drinks included.
This is one of Lisbon's best food tours. Do it if you're vacationing in Portugal and visiting Lisbon.
