Naky is a history enthusiast and loves to show Lisbon through its past.
In this walking tour you can explore Lisbon’s African roots, such as the influence that the Portuguese Expeditions had in the history of Africa, and Europe, alongside the inheritance that remains in the lifestyle of the Portuguese people.
At the end of the tour, you can choose to go with Naky to a restaurant where you can taste excellent cuisine from countries like Angola and Cape Verde (prices to enjoy an authentic African meal cost in average an extra €10, and it includes: meal + 1 drink + dessert + espresso).
All you need is a good camera and appetite for traditional African cuisine.
Children from to 12 to 18 years old only pay 18€

Praça do Comércio (near the statue) at 2 pm
I’m passionate about history and traditional African food.
If you want to rearrange the picture you make of Lisbon, you should go to this tour and learn, that Africans are part of this city since 600 years. Learn about history and meet the local African community now, and eat that they cook. Naky is a fabulous tour guide, a warmhearted and great guy. Very recommended!
The tour was incredible interesting with lots of new insights into Lisbon's history, as Naky knows so much about the African history of Lisbon. Besides, the food was delicious and the restaurant had a great atmosphere. I definitely recommend this tour to everyone looking for an unique experience in Lisbon.
I live in Lisbon and didn't even know that we had so many historic sights. The walk is taught but it's worth to hear what Naky has to say. The dinner was also great, the food was really good and I got to know another restaurant to go to whenever I miss home.
I'm majoring in African studies so this experience was a must do and it was really eye opening. I'm not so much into cooking, but the food was amazing and the restaurant looked really authentic, the cooks were from Cape Verde and made incredible "funge". Thank you Naky.
Had no idea how much Portugal influenced (and is influenced) by Africa. The tour was really eye opening towards the Portuguese lifestyle and African roots. The food was also very (very!) good.
