Experience Cascais through its flavors, with João and Isabel, a local born and raised in this ancient fishing village.
Once a fishing village, Cascais became a European aristocratic destination in the mid-twentieth century and is now a destination for those looking for leisurely moments on charming beaches.
Considered a Mediterranean village in the Atlantic, this is a place full of history and glamor, with narrow streets, palaces and gastronomic variety.
Cascais is the perfect place for food and beach lovers and photography enthusiasts.
Cascais train station (main entrance) at 11am
We are two local foodies from Cascais who love to share unique gastronomic experiences in fascinating, and hidden, places of our village.
If you like seafood and never tasted green wine (exclusive from Portugal) take this tour with Isabel, she'll take to the best places in the village to eat local seafood and taste amazing wine, produced in a region in Northern Portugal.
5 Star tour, no doubt. Good food, good wine and friendly local guide.
The most important thing for me when I travel is the food and the people. So this was a perfect experience because I got to know a new place with local foodies and they took me to the places in town to eat local food. I recommend it every time to people who are visiting Lisbon.
Excellent tour, if you like to walk, eat and drink you should book it!
Great food tour, Isabel had lunch reservation at a local restaurant where we had around 8 different seafood dishes. Then went for a walk in the village, Isabel explained us Cascais history and curiosities like the James Bond and the Casino. It was a very interesting and delicious tour. I recommend this experience to people who are looking for more than just a touristy tour.
I liked the food at lunch and the village itself is amazing as well. Great if you're visiting Lisbon with some time to go on a day trip.
João is super friendly, I really enjoyed the afternoon walking along the ocean, eating and drinking. Super recommended.
I recommend this tour for its food and wine and as well for the guides; they are extremely friendly. Book in advance though, they can reach their limit number quickly and they don't do tour with big groups.
I can't remember all the names of the seafood dishes, they were too many and too complex, I just recall João saying there was one that in english would be "understands", I don't know what he means but it was incredibly delicious. The tour was great as well. I highly recommend this experience.
Cascais is always a good idea, my sister and I had this on our "to do" list so we just took the train and headed to the village where we meet Isabel. She took us to have lunch and drink amazing wine, the ocean is constant as well as the sun. Amazing day trip. Thank you!
