Alfama is beautiful, there's hardly a perfect adjective to describe this small "village" inside a big capital like Lisbon. The best way to explore it is through food, no doubt about that, it's a win win: you get great views, history and culture while walking, drinking and eating. I recommend bringing good shoes though, we walked a lot and the Portuguese streets can be quite a challenge.

Alfama is an amazing place, can't get more traditional than this. Ruthy provided us with delicious food, we had from salty snacks to local pastry, while walking around Alfama. It was definitely one of our trip's highlights.

Ruthy is so friendly, she took us to nice restaurants with traditional Portuguese food. It was really inspiring walking on Alfama's streets, the architecture is amazing, it looks like a small village inside a big city.
